Reddit publishes a community feed at an address like reddit.com/r/name/.rss. Readine reads it as an ordinary source — publications are ordered by publication time, with no algorithmic sorting, no ads and no recommendations. An address with old.reddit.com is not supported.
Take the community address on reddit.com and add .rss to it — that is the feed address. Add it to Readine as an ordinary RSS feed.
You can subscribe to several communities — each one is added separately. In Readine they sit alongside your other sites, Twitter and Telegram channels, and paid subscriptions on Substack, Boosty, Fanbox, Patreon and Sponsr.
There are also tags, notes, full-text search, offline copies and rules for automation.
| Community | Feed address |
|---|---|
| r/rss | https:/ |
| r/ObsidianMD | https:/ |
| r/digitalminimalism | https:/ |
A community feed carries publications, not discussions, so you open comments on Reddit via a link. There is no score and no sorting by votes here.
An address with old.reddit.com is not supported, the feed is taken from reddit.com. Private communities are not in the public feed.
| What | In Readine |
|---|---|
| Publications | yes, by publication time |
| Comments | no, the discussion opens on Reddit |
| Private communities | no, public ones only |
| Voting and replies | no, Readine only reads |
| Sorting by score | no, order by publication time |
On Reddit the feed is sorted by score by default, and you have to switch to “New” manually, only inside Reddit itself. Ads are shown between publications, and the list grows with every community — the more subscriptions, the less likely you are to find what you need. Many people do not like an endless feed.
In Readine all your subscriptions sit in one list alongside everything else you read. All sources are sorted by publication time, there are no recommendations, and the list of publications is not endless.
Rules filter out what you don’t need by word, title, address or tag, so unread items don’t pile up. The “read” and “favourite” flags sync across devices, and what is marked on the phone does not surface again on the computer.
